Walking dogs a few days ago, we crossed a wide sand road very recently groomed – the entire thing was parallel furrows. Nothing else.
I took a picture. I lost the picture. Don’t ask me how.
Anyway, same place, same time, next day.
Lots of horses had used it, apparently. I don’t recall ever seeing more than two horses at a time out there, maybe three. And I make no claims of expertise. But that looks like the tracks of much more than two or even three horses. Where did they come from? Where did they go? Who groomed the road?
Mysteries, mysteries….

“Thanksgiving” potluck late lunch at Jerry’s hotel including Uruguayans, Canadians, and South Africans as well as Americans. Quite a feat to organize (I didn’t) and fun to get together with some people we haven’t seen in a while.
And then this visual treat on the sand-covered patio:
It’s quite an interesting experience, shopping in the feria when one minute you linger undercover after making a purchase to stay dry, and just a few minutes later the sun is blinding bright.
But it’s al worth it when you get to see a double rainbow (arco iris in Spanish), if only for a few short moments.
