Second time I’ve seen that a food vendor stocking the mini-market next door decides to leave all his expirede product in the trash container nearby. Many of the products from Baipa, the very classy bakery in town.

Their purchasing needs revision if they are discarding so much. Seems they are throwing away profits.
The problem with this is that we don’t know how much they are discarding in relative terms. Presumably some items will remain unsold at their “sell-by” date; whether they’re discarding 1% or 30% of shelved items we have no way to know (including asking the store owner, whose “interior” accent assures I would at best understand 60% of what he said).
Baffling! Most sell-by dates are iffy.
