I asked several Mexican amigos if they understood – no. Solo “La maquina ‘ta lista”. Nada más. In fact, they were all convinced the caller was was Cuban.

My Spanish teacher here in Austin caught a few “anda”, “no anda”, if that helps.
That’s a strange one here. “Andar” means to walk or to go, so when people ask “Como anda?” (how’s it going?) I’m sometimes tempted to respond “one foot at a time.” But I don’t think they would find it as funny as I do 😉
