My friend Mike has written about the weirdness of his garden this year, and asked me about our figs tree in the country. I frankly don’t pay much attention because I have no expectation of every enjoying figs from it, given the voracious wild parrots.
Alas,
the fruit is very small and the leaves are turning brown and dropping off.
¿Cambio climatico? indeed.
Yeah, as said, two month to early.
Climate change in Uruguay ???
We had nice large ripe figs early, but since then nothing but small ones that never mature, but do fall to the ground eventually. Still many new green ones appearing, even though leaves are going brown like yours.
Roberto, our neighbour, says we gave it too much water, as he handed us a large bag of figs from his tree.
