Maybe it’s just me, but this paint job somehow kills the design of the vehicle.
An inquisitive old fart with a camera

Crazy-busy lunch place on three levels. Plaza Constitución. Source of shoe photo. Lunch specials are good, especially if you use a gringo credit card and get 18% (reciprocal of 22% IVA) knocked off the bill.

Greeters at La Corte restaurant in Montevideo.

Misiones, near Rincón.

Rincón, near Plaza Constitución. Horrible street (like most of them), but this is pretty cool.

Nice.

I took this photo in Montevideo, as Tex was dying. I didn’t know it then.

Tex, an amazingly bright guy, and amazingly talented artist, moved into this house mid-2008. Almost everything you see here was in the house then. Even the stack of cassette tapes in the corner.* None of this decor was even remotely to his tastes.
He was one of those people who gets rid of nothing.
* which reminds me of a person who moved here in 2007 from Canada. He brought a collection of 200 cassette tapes. He’s still trying to figure out what he was thinking.

Layers, knit cap, shoes on for the beach. First time in a while. It felt like autumn earlier this year (March).
Also in the end of March last year. And end of March three years ago.
I’m not complaining that it’s been warm this year. Not at all. We had our first fire couple nights ago on behalf of Tex‘s sister from Honduras, here to take care of his affairs. I was barefoot, in a short sleeve shirt. I guess you get spoiled, living in the topics.
