I am a little car, but I identify as a big car, and park accordingly.

Discovery of the day (after almost 13 years!): when you refill your
CIEMSA peaje “chip” at Abitab, it specifies the expiration date (F.VTO. =
Fecha de vencimiento). No more embarrassing backing out of a toll booth
whose gate won’t open because time has run out. Not that I would know anything about that, of
course.

I think I’ve just seen my first example of “fully vaccinated” parking.

Well, apparently someone thought so at one time, to the point of spray painting “08” on the drivers’ door.
BTW, I could find no identification of the model or manufacturer.

24 hours later the cut up rusty car is gone.

Meanwhile, literally around the corner, this gem, which I first recorded almost ten years ago (with the same car in the driveway!)

Interesting collection set roadside.

Someone has cut up an entire (old) car and neatly stacked it…for whom?

I had to stop when I saw this perfectly silly little car parked near the beach. I’m pretty sure it is too small for me to be able to even sit in, much less drive.

What is it? A Toyota! Specifically, a Toyota Publica from a period when the average Japanese man was under 5’7 “ (170 cm) tall.
You can read about the National Car concept and this one’s specs here. 28 horsepower, 700cc. Fascinating in a small way.

This silly little car has caught my attention several times. I don’t know what brand it is. I don’t know if it’s ICE or electric, and I don’t care because my mind is overwhelmed by one question: if I wanted to design a car that looks like a cartoon, could I outdo this?

A classic, even by Uruguayan standards.

Nice mirror mounts. Now how exactly do the windshield wipers work?
