An inquisitive old fart with a camera

…for today’s “Special Parking” award!

In unrelated news, “she” is right side up again…

…after being inexplicably upside-down a couple days ago.

I can say many things about our neighbors’ remodel and addition, but few of them will involve the concept of “well thought out.” For example, the placement of the huge sliding glass doors on the only place in the wall that guarantees I look into their house every time I water my container plants (beneath chimney). And to the chimney’s left, numerous layers of shiny metallic waterproofing to counter the roof’s poor design. The lack of obvious firewood storage for the immense wood stove they installed. And the cochera (carport) rendered unusable by the intrusion of the new construction.

Not to mention a new carport that shields vehicles from the sun only kinda, sorta, in the late afternoon. The fabric roof of which didn’t do too well in last night’s wind.

…the inconvenience of a convenience store next door. None of these vehicles were moving.

Just ain’t raht. Imagine going through a mud puddle on it.

The first “lightweight” German camper of the season.

No footprints. So what was it? How did it move?

Since our neighbors opened their minimercado a year ago. their outside summer-shade sitting area has increasingly become a repository of store-related items, including this display case, which fortunately I see only when I get close to the wall.
That face. I absolutely do not like that face. The pinched smirky mouth. The eyebrows that seem raised, as if she sees something surprising in you. But not pleasant, because she’s not smiling. And those bulging eyes. Remind me of, yeah,

alleged school shooters.
And now I want to know if she’s a real person. Does she have a firearm? Is she on prescription drugs?

…when you spread jam on fresh toast it tastes like pond scum…
…no worrying about whether it’s moldy, because you’ll never be able to tell.
Definitely bolsters my faith in humanity to know that someone, somewhere, thought this was a good idea.
