Harbor seals and pups on ice floes near Punta del Este, Uruguay, far up Treinte y Tres Fjord, where they are protected from their natural enemies the Orca whales. The young still can fall prey to bald eagles, though.
Sorry, in my haste I didn’t identify the mountain in my last entry, which is of course Uruguay’s Mt. Artigas.

Here is a somewhat distant view of Artigas Glacier, at the head of Triente y Tres Fjord, one of Uruguay’s often-overlooked natural wonders.
I don’t want to seem judgmental, but

Grease trap. Stinky, nasty piece of work that has to be cleaned out every couple months. Here’s ours, dug up and replaced.

It looks perfectly functional, and it is. But since the plans to our house were never brought up to date at the intendencia, it had to be replaced by a bigger “approved” one — 20 liters.
