Conspicuous in its absence

What’s wrong with this picture?

no-buoy

The answer lies in what is not there.

dead-dog

A bit further down the beach, another dead dog, half buried. Second one in six weeks. I hope this doesn’t become a trend.

Little — well, not so little — SpinkyFace was a little spooked by it.

    1. Nothing like that anywhere near us. We had local flooding a year ago in Montevideo. What’s happening now in Paraguay and NE Argentina looks really bad. Special thanks to deforestation and soybean farming.

  1. The new president of Argentina has flown over the area, but I have seen no official announcements made against soya cultivation, which, as you have said, is a major culprit in this situation. Seems the new president is owned by the banks, who own agribusiness, who do not want negative news about soya.
