Back in 2012, I installed a “bat hotel” to try to entice the noisy bats nesting in the roof into a custom location.
Time to paint the wall, and today I asked the painters to remove it.

Disassembling it, it appears that not a single bat in twelve and a half years even bothered to check it out. Oh well.
More kindling, as wood stove season arrives.
Think of the valuable guano piled up in your attic by now.
Great for the garden!!
I have, many times. The roof is high, and steep, and my plan is to let it lie. We actually haven’t had lots of bats in several years. The early morning noise of them returning was annoying, but the thought of them being on duty (eating mosquito3s!) was comforting.
How to get that valuable guano to the garden?
*sigh* I think I’ve had enough with projects just now 😉
