For anyone who has dealt with driving in Uruguay, there is nothing here particularly unusual: a pedestrian wandering into a highway, curious interpretations of the meanings of those lines in the road, red lights that don’t apply to city buses.

Mmmm – living in South Africa, I don’t see anything unusual here. I think I’ll feel very at home in UY if we ever get there. A holiday at least!!
I expect for much of the world, this is nothing unusual. It’s actually rare to take a trip to Montevideo without seeing a public bus run a red light.
I’ve driven in Mexico, but not in a major city. Pretty uneventful for the most part. UY looks quite “interesting” for driving.
When driving here, I constantly ask myself “what’s the stupidest thing everyone around me could do?” — and plan for it!
LOL. Sounds about like being in the Seattle area.
