Migración, despachantes de aduana, trying to find quality household goods and tools, anything vehicular, no-show plumbers – electricians – albeñiles – jardineros, looking at yet another house with miniscule rooms and mold. Just like climbing a tree. A certain type of tree.
Ow ow ow owruguaow… will bring the necessary thick hides. Ours or something else’s… Thanks for the warning!
Thick hides and a sense of humor, of course.
You are totally right with all the problems of “agentes”.
Only solution to be your own handyman – handywoman !
One new market will help.
Next to Geant is the, first in Uruguay, HOBBY market opened
this week. Might be a good idea to check it out and report about
in your blog.
If any good, quality, prices etc. it could be a nice competition to
the hundreds of barraccas in UY.
I would do in mine, but a have no time to go there and to write,
as you know.
Thanks, it’s on my list to check out.
Competition? What’s that? I one time I mentioned to the guy in Maudy, the local electrical store, how much better their prices were than Nelson Saurez (where I have to go to get Argentine wall sockets; another story). Oh, he said, sometimes we’re more, sometimes we’re less. There’s no competition here.
Ironically, competencia means both “competition” and “competence.” (OK, I’ll stop there.)
