- Drinks (never mind our cooler with bottled water)

- Smiling wet children (apparently)

We were traveling in a caravan of six minivans and two armed escorts. Our driver, in the last van, stopped for an unscheduled bathroom break, so the trailing security car did as well. From then on we were on our own. Turns out th4e driver didn’t know where we were going, cell phone coverage was spotty, and we only arrived at our destination because the security car had some kind of satellite link that allowed it to tell the other security car to come back to get us.
To further confuse you, I took the second photo the day before, in a completely different location.
Other than that, good guesses 😉

Apparently they didn’t do this last year. I don’t know if there was a perceived need, or if it was to make clients feel safer (I’m ambivalent in that regard). However, when we got lost in the middle of nowhere in Ceará, they saved the day!
